Neck Tattoo Help

I\'m a nerdy biology major who loves entomology. This is the tattoo I\'ve been perfecting for half a decade.

I only really just started actually sketching it out, I\'m used to drawing trilobites, but I just decided to add the ginkgo leaves a year ago.

What I want to know is how asymmetrical can I get before it just looks sloppy? I know I don\'t want to to be perfectly symmetrical, I would like it to contrast the trilobite a little bit, but is this too much?

The idea behind it is (LOOSELY) I love insects, thus the trilobite, which is the ancestor of all arthropods, and is now extinct. Add the ginkgo leaf which is said to be a living fossil and can live for thousands of years. This tree was thought to have gone extinct some time ago, and they recently discovered that it was in fact alive and well. In fact, we had a bunch outside our private school....... and yes... I know that they smell AWFUL! XD But I really like the leaves and how they\'ve influenced so many different cultures.

So, something that went extinct, vs. something that supposedly did and came back.

See, it\'s kinda loose, I mostly just WANTED the trilobite, then decided to add something else that has that ancient mysticism.
